New Writers! Shake the Multiple Personality Disorder

Posted November 15, 2011

A piece I wrote about changing points of view in a narrative has been posted at the Attic Institute, where I teach fiction.

Aside from a desire to imitate writers we love, there are a few places where this Multiple Personality impulse comes from, particularly a lack of confidence in one's own writing. I might have a character who feels a little less compelling as I move through her narrative. She feels shaky by page one hundred so I'll add a second narrator.
Head over to the Attic Institute to read the rest.
